Tournament Rules and Regulations 2006-2007
1.
This tournament is CTF sanctioned and all tournament and playing rules
will be in effect.
2.
Only members of the Capital District Tenpin Bowling Association are
eligible to bowl in this tournament.
3.
Members of unsanctioned leagues within the jurisdiction of the CDTBA,
who are not members of another association, may enter by paying the unattached
fee of $20.00 cdn.
See rule #9 for average.
4.
Teams, doubles and singles are separate events which are bowled at
different times.
5.
Completed entry forms will be accepted, with full cash payment only,
for any squad up to 10 minutes before start of squad time, if lanes available.
6.
Members may enter teams, doubles and singles as many times as they
desire. First come-first served.
RULES FOR CASHING:
Team Event - at least two players in the lineup must be different to cash more
than once.
Doubles Event - at least one player in the lineup must be different to cash more
than once.
Singles Event - in no case, shall the same person be permitted to cash more than
once.
All-Events - the bowler’s first series in each event shall count toward their
all-events total.
7.
ALL PRIZE MONIES WILL BE BASE ON GROSS (HANDICAP) SCORES AND ALL PRIZE
MONEY COLLECTED IN AN EVENT WILL BE RETURNED 100% IN THAT EVENT. CTF championship chevrons will be awarded to
both scratch and handicap winners. If
entrant qualifies for both chevrons, they will have the choice of which chevron
to take.
8.
Handicap will be 100% of 220 with no maximum. Bowlers over 220 average
will bowl scratch.
9.
Entrants shall use their highest current CTF sanctioned average as of
January 1, 2007, based on a minimum of 21 games. If the entrant has no average for this
season, the highest CTF last years average based on a minimum of 21 games shall
be used. All other bowlers will bowl
scratch.
10. It is the bowler’s
responsibility to verify the accuracy of his/her average. Failure to use the correct average will
disqualify all scores if submitted average is incorrect in accordance with CTF
Rule 319a(3).
11. It is the bowler’s
responsibility to verify his/her scores.
Submitted scores subject to verification.
12. Team captains shall report
all substitutions to tournament manager at least 10 minutes prior to bowling.
13. Tardy players shall start in
the frame being bowled with zero (0) for all frames missed.
14. No substitute allowed when a
game is already in progress, frame counted as zero (0) for all frames missed.
15. The use of such substances as
talcum powder, pumice, rosin, etc., on shoes or the use of soft rubber soles
and heels that rub off and in any manner alter the normal conditions of the approach, is strictly prohibited in accordance with CTF Rule
12.
16. In the event of an equipment
failure, the tournament manager reserves the right to move bowlers to other
lanes.
17. No refunds,
except in emergency cases and approved by tournament manager.
18. Unmarried grade or high
school students under 18 years of age must obtain parental consent in
accordance with CTF Rule 13.
19. CTF Rule 319a(2)
(10 pin improvement) does not apply to this tournament.
20. CTF Rule 319d (reporting of
prize winnings) does not apply to this tournament.
21. CTF Rule 319e (15 pins or
more increase in average {from tournament games bowled}) is waived for this
tournament.
22. Prize ratio: Teams, Doubles and Singles is
1 in 5. All-events 1 in 5.
23. All prize money will be distributed, no later than April 17, 2007.
24. ALL-EVENTS HANDICAP FEE,
$5.00 PER INDIVIDUAL, EXTRA (OPTIONAL).
25. In case of dispute, contact
Tournament Director immediately.
26. The Tournament Director’s
decisions in all matters pertaining to the tournament are final.
