SECRETARY.                MOE. SENT NAMES IN FOR COPY OF CONNECTION. THOUGH WE AGREED TO COLLECT DUES FROM AMERICAN BOWLERS IN CORNWALL, IT HAS NOT BEEN DONE YET. OREDERED AND RECEIVED DIRECTORS BOOKS. RECEIVED A LETTER FROM RENAISSANCE LEAGUE CONCERNING A BOWLER WHO LEFT THEM WITHOUT NOTICE

                               OWES FOR 2 WEEKS OF BOWLING. WILL INVESTIGATE FURTHER. RECEIVED A LIST OF

                               SUSPENDED BOWLERS AND REASONS FOR SUSPENSIONS. MEMBERSHIP AT 637.

AWARDS :                OWEN. REPORT HANDED OUT. 2 MORE 300 BOWLED. KEN HERON AND DAVE WISKOWSKI. ALSO, ROGER SARAZIN BOWLED A 299. MANY AWARDS IN ALL

                               CATEGORIES BEING HANDED OUT.

BANQUET :                MAY. NO REPORT. SUGGESTION WAS MADE  THAT DATE BE CHANGED FOR BANQUET

                               THIS YEAR. (TO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS). TO TALK TO WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION. ALSO,

                               PLACE SHOULD BE BOOKED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. FINANCIAL REPORT REQUIRED.

CTF :                GRAHAM. SURVEY TO BE OUT SOON ON FORMING CANADIAN ASSOCIATION.

LANE INSP.                PETER. HAD FIRST MEETING WITH WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION REPS. A READING WAS DONE AT McARTHUR LANES. RESULTS SENT TO MONTREAL BUT WERE  NOT ACCEPTABLE. A REP FROM MONTREAL CAME TO THE CENTRE TO ASSIST IN A SECOND READING WHICH WAS ACCEPTABLE. SEEMS THE TAPE WE HAD WAS FAULTY

                               WE NOW KNOW A LOT MORE ON HOW TO OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT BUT A LOT OF WORK NEEDS TO BE DONE TO BECOME EFFECIENT.

 

 

GOLF :                MEADOWS HAS BEEN CANCELLED. KINGSWAY AVAILABLE JUNE 2-2001. PETER WILL

                               TAKE CHARGE OF THE COMMITTEE.

FUND RAISING PETER. QUESTION ? DO WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS. SUGGESTION. GOLF TOURNAMENT. TO INVESTIGATE.

OLD BUSINESS

·         COMPUTER. MOE . COMMITTEE HAS NOT OFFICIALLY MET BUT GOT SOME PRICES. RICK GUTHRO SEEMS TO HAVE THE BEST PRICE AND IS LOCALLY AVAILABLE FOR REPAIRS. WE NEED IT FOR NEXT YEAR. FURTHER INVESTIGATION REQUIRED.

·         50/50 WINNER SITUATION NOT SETTLED. MAY TO INVESTIGATE.

·         LAMINATING MACHINE PURCHASED.

·         LETTER OF COMPLAINT ANSWERED AND RESOLVED.

·         LETTER OF RESPONSE BY BOWLERS. WILL FOLLOW UP WITH MANAGEMENT AND  BOWLERS. SUGGESTED IT BE A JOINT VENTURE.

NEW BUSINESS

·         INSURANCE. 1st  THIRD PARTY LIABILITY APPROX. $100 PER YEAR   2nd DIRECTORS LIABILITY..NO QUOTE. INSURANCE TO ATTEND NEXT MEETING. OMER SUGGEST ALL THREE ASSOCIATIONS BE INVOLVED. MOE TO ADVISE.

·         FUN NIGHT. PETER’S GOALS ARE TO HAVE OCCASIONAL FUND NIGHTS BUT TO BEGIN THE VENTURE HE REQUIRES $500. ($250 FROM EACH ASSOCIATION) MOTION BY MOE TO ADVANCE

THE FUNDS REQUIRED, 2nd BY GRAHAM, CARRIED. (FOR THIS YEAR ONLY) AMENDMENT TO MOTION BY OMER, THE ISSUE OF SAID FUNDS CONTINGENT ON WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION ADVANCING THE SAME AMOUNT, 2nd BY PIERRE, CARRIED.

·         PRESIDENT WELCOMED JIM EDWARDS AS NEW DIRECTOR .

·         AGM/CONSTITUTION. GRAHAM HANDED OUT COPIES OF CONSTITUTION AND SUGGESTED AMENDMENTS…TO BE DISCUSSED AT NEXT MEETING.SUGGEST WE POST THE DATE OF THE AGM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. MOE TO SEND LETTERS TO ALL LEAGUE SECRETARIES.

·         OMER SUGGESTED WE FOLLOW UP ON A BUSINESS DIRECTORY FOR OUR BOWLERS WHO HAVE A TRADE OR BUSINESS. JIM SUGGESTED MENTIONING IT IN NEWSLETTER ADVISING THOSE

CONCERNED THAT WE ARE WILLING TO POST THERE NAMES AND PHONE NUMBERS TO THIS      EFFECT.
