MOTION TO ACCEPT MINUTES OF LAST MEETING BY OMER, 2nd BY PIERRE..CARRIED

BILL MUNN WAS PRESENT AND EXPLAINED WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH DIRECTOR’S LIABILITY AND BOWLERS INSURANCE. IF WE TAKE DIRECTOR’S LIABILITY NOW, WE WILL BE COVERED FOR ONE YEAR. BOWLERS INSURANCE  SHOULD BE DIFFERED TILL NEXT SEASON SINCE WE WOULD BE COVERED FOR ONLY THE BALANCE OF THIS SEASON.

ACT :                AARON GUERTIN SELECTED TO REPRESENT TEN BOWLING. DINNER ON APRIL 4th . TWO DIRECTORS TO ATTEND.

AWARDS :                OWEN. REPORT HANDED OUT ON ABC MAJOR AWARDS TO DATE.

BANQUET :                NEXT YEARS BANQUET HALL RESERVED FOR DEC.1-2001 AT THE RA CENTER DEPOSIT WAS GIVEN AND WE MUST HAVE OVER 100 PEOPLE ATTEND TO HAVE THE HALL FREE OF CHARGE.

CTF :                GRAHAM. AS USUAL THERE IS A LACK OF INFO CONCERNING QUALIFYING ROUNDS AND IS VERY EXPENSIVE. FEELS AREA BOWLERS HAVE A SLIM CHANCE OF QUALIFYING. PLANS TO ATTEND MEETINGS. REQUIRES FUNDS FOR MILEAGE AND I NIGHT HOTEL STAY. MOTION BY OWEN TO ADVANCE, 2nd BY OMER.CARRIED

LANE INSP.                NO REPORT. MOE MENTIONED  ABC TO GET  SERIOUS ON LANE INSPECTION, MAINLY REINFORCING FREQUENCY OF LANE READINGS.  READING INSPECTION SHOULD BE DONE A LEAST EVERY THIRTY DAYS.

OLD BUSINESS

·        COMPUTER PURCHASE OPTION IS ONGOING.  STILL INVESTIGATING NEEDS.

·        FIRST NEWLETTER DISTRIBUTED.

·        50/50 PROBLEM TO BE RESOLVED. SHOULD PAY ORIGINAL WINNER AND CLOSE THE MATTER.

·        FOLLOW UP ON FUND NIGHTS HAD A POSITIVE REACTION. RESPONSE HAS BEEN GOOD. MUST, HOWEVER ADOPT A CONSISTENT  FORMAT OF AWARDING PRIZES.

·        RESULTS OF BOWLER SURVEY HAS BEEN POSITIVE. SHOWING THAT DIRECTORS ARE TRYING TO BE MORE INVOLVED.

·        FEEDBACK REQUIRED ON FORMAT OF SECRETARIES HANDBOOK.

·        REPORT HANDED OUT ON PROPOSED CONSTITUTION AMENDMENTS

 

NEW BUSINESS

·        PETER LAGEVEEN HAS VERBALLY RESIGNED FROM BOARD. OFFICIAL LETTER OF ACCEPTANCE SHOULD BE SENT TO PETER.

·        COMPLAINT ABOUT AN ATTITUDE OF ONE OUR MEMBERS DURING A TOURNAMENT WAS RECEIVED FOR REVIEW. BOARD SUGGESTED THE BOWLER BE ADVISED TO FORM AN APOLOGY TO ORGANIZERS OR FURTHER ACTION COULD BE TAKEN.

·        SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE FOR WOMEN’S ASSOCIATION 40th ANNERVISARY.

·        AGM AGENDA MUST BE POSTED. AGM WILL BE APRIL 29-2001. McARTHUR LANES. 9 :15 AM
