Meeting Minutes

1) Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 7:18 p.m.

2) Roll Call

Attendees: Ann King, Marg Willis, Helga Sarazin, Pierre Gratton, Jackie Alguire, Tim Lalonde

and Luc Leblanc.

Regrets: Marc Dumontier

3) Agenda

The published agenda was agreed to.

Motion to accept: by Tim Lalonde, seconded by Helga Sarazin. Unamimous.

4) Review of Previous Minutes

August 1, 2007 - page 2 amendment.

September 17, 2007 - no amendments.

Motion to accept: by Jackie Alguire, seconded by Pierre Gratton. Unamimous.

5) Executive Reports

Association Manager

Canus and Les Vaughan memberships have not been received as of this date. Data entry, for memberships received, will be complete by the end of October. All cheques have been deposited.

6) Committee Reports

Lane Inspections - Jackie Alguire

Lane inspections: McArthur Lanes on August 19, 2007.

Quille-O-Drome Galaxie on September 19, 2007.

Thanks to Jackie Alguire, Tim Lalonde, John Alguire, Tracey Lalonde and Ann King for working on the lane inspections.

Website Contest - Pierre Gratton

No entries received yet. Entry form to be amended - CTF number removed.

Towels for contest will be picked up on October 27^th by Ann.

Local and OTBA Awards

Ann picked up the OTBA Awards at the OTBA meeting on October 13^th, 2007.

Pierre will have the local awards next week and Ann will pick them up at Galaxie on October 19^th.

All awards will be distributed the following week.

Tournaments - Tim Lalonde

-Strike 9 - No Tap singles tournament on October 21^st.

-Strike 9 - No Tap doubles tournament on November 25^th.

Saturday, February 9, 2008 - 1:30pm to 3:00pm

Sunday, February 10, 2008 - 10:00am to 3:00pm

4^TH ANNUAL CDTBA/CTF ASSOCIATION TOURNAMENT

Saturday, March 1, 2008 and Sunday, March 2, 2008

Saturday, March 8, 2008 and Sunday, March 9, 2008

Time for all days: 11:30am to 5:30pm

PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENTS:

Youth: May 3^rd - 11^th, 2008 - Classic Bowl, Mississauga

44^th Women’s: May 10^th - June 1, 2008

45^th Mixed: May 10^th - June 1, 2008

Both Tournaments: Teams - Cataract Bowl, Niagara Falls

Doubles and Singles - Parkway Lanes, St. Catharines

Recommended not to bowl back to back shifts when the shifts are at the different centers, due to road construction.

Bowling Clinic - Ann King

Tentatively scheduled for November 17th or 18^th. Working on final details.

67’s CDTBA Day - Fund-raiser

Marc Dumontier prefers not to work on this event.

The game on Sunday, January 13, 2008 - 2:00pm ( Mississauga @ Ottawa) is available for us.

Further information is required before we commit to this event.

Ann and Luc to get further details.

7) Other Business

Ottawa Sports Awards: Nomination from the CDTBA for Tenpin Bowling category. Discussion on criteria for the selection of the nominee. Suggestions requested for next meeting.
